I felt honored to be asked to paint my friend's mom. Carol is a very lovely lady and as I painted her portrait it felt like the painting wanted to be created and all I had to do was hold the brush. It's not usually like that, so I'm very grateful when it happens. I told my husband sometimes I get lucky in painting and he replied "the more you paint the better your luck will be."
