'Vincent' stolen this morning...

Oil on 24"x24" panel.
This painting was my favorite painting, and stolen today from 208 C st. Studios and Hall Gallery. All I can say is "Really?" I know I'm not the only person to be visited this way, never the less, it hurts.I know the painting will never bring happiness to the thief. It's disappearance is a direct hit to my heart, the painting, represents more than the surface image. This painting is connected to my dads love of Vincent's work. He reproduced many  paintings by Van Gogh, our home was filled with them. including a mural of  'Paris Cafe at Night on our dinning room wall. I will heal but I will not forget the loss.

Hi Rachel,
Sorry to learn of the theft, but trying to be positive, (easy to do from my vantage point) at least the thief has great taste in art!
I'm sure if the local constabulary nabs the perp, the defense will argue that it's your fault for creating such a wonderful portrait and the poor, innocent creature couldn't help his, or her self.
On a more serious note...it is a wonderful painting and I do hope it finds its way home.
Keep smiling--what else can you do? And keep up the great work.
Sincerely,
Gary.
