'from life' studies because for me they represent the purest form of painting or the most real kind of painting. I do plenty of work from photos-I love the comfort of working in the studio without the distraction of changing light, shifting weather, wind, the list is long of potential annoyances caused by external conditions when working on location! Plus the chore of loading everything up and hauling it around. Not easy but most rewarding and telling. I will leave it at that.
